Owner Vincent Caruso grew up in the Heights section of Jersey City, where his father worked the old Erie Railroad freight yards before they closed. He spent eleven years, 2000 to 2011, running crews for a national van‑line agent, watching families get hit with storage fees at a warehouse nobody mentioned. In 2011 he opened Eagle Van Lines on his own warehouse floor, full‑value protection built into every quote, never pitched as an extra.

Vincent Caruso grew up in the Heights section of Jersey City, watching his father work the old Erie Railroad freight yards before the line shut down. He spent the next eleven years running crews for a national van-line agent, and the one thing that stuck with him was not the driving or the packing — it was watching customers get stuck paying storage fees at a warehouse they had never seen and were never told about. In 2011 he opened his own building on Communipaw Ave and rewrote the rules that came with it.
